
Mr Rameshon obtained his Masters in Education from University of Western Australia. He also did his undergraduate studies in Physical Education and Sports Science at Loughborough University. He an Adjunct Lecturer in Republic Polytechnic for “Periodization of Sports” module, as part of the Sports Coaching Diploma course.
He is the current national record holder for the marathon, with a time of 2hr 24min 22sec. He has taken part in 3 Asian Marathon Championships, 2 South East Asian games and 1 Asian Track and Field Championship. He was also 7th in Asian Marathon Championships in Biwako in Japan in year 1987.
During his years of coaching, Mr Rameshon has not only groomed more than 10 marathoners who have achieved timings below the 3 hour mark, he has also brought 9 Singapore National Schools’ Cross-Country Championship Titles and 12 National Schools’ Track and Field Championship Titles. Very recently, Rameshon trained Ashley Liew to do 2hr 38min in Hong Kong Marathon held on 5th February 2012. He also did 10hr 03min for Ironman challenge held in Texas (May, 2012). For this year, Ashley has done the fastest time for a Singaporean for Ironman and Marathon. He also won the RUN 350 half-marathon winning in men’s open section.
